As glad as I am that Black Metal didn't go in the same direction as Death Metal (emphasizing brutality and complexity), I'm glad a Technical Black Metal band exists. Drottnar's music is tight and well produced and dazzlingly complicated. At times the technical frenzy can drown out that signature blackened atmosphere, but where it’s visible it's always well done. In a parallel universe, Black Metal bands care more about technicality than rawness and atmosphere- and they sound like this. camjr01
